Very Large and early Georgian sword-stick. The long tapered square section blade is approx. 29 inches (just under 74 cm) and is housed in a rustic wooden shaft with very dark age patina terminating in a large gilt metal ferrel. The wooden handle is also of rustic form with dark age patina with iron strengthening band. The scabbard/shaft has also got an iron strengthening band at the throat. Overall length is approx. 38 inches (98 cm).
