6- Victorian / Edwardian Anglo Indian hunting trousse ( (knife and fork set). Dark hardwood scabbard and handles made from teak or mahogany profusely and finely carved with foliate designs and flowers (roses?). The scabbard is mounted with brass bands and 4 brass feet to stand on a dining table. Spring clip retention to top of scabbard which goes into brass handguard of the knife and the fork through a square hole to hold all in place. Both handles are pistol gripped shaped and carved en suite. The knife is beautifully made with bowie style shape blade and rope style chiselling on the whole length of the back of the blade. The fork is also carved to match on both outersides. Length of blade on knife is just under 8 inches / 20 cm. Incl handle knife length 12 inches /32 cm. The fork blade length is 7.2 inches/ 18 cm. Incl handle fork length is 11 inches / just under 30 cm. Probably made for British colonial officer, very high quality which is not often seen. Good age patina. Overall length in scabbard is 17 inches /45 cm.
