Scarce antique BSA air rifle looks to be in a 177 caliber. The top of the barrel is engraved with THE B.S.A. AIRRIFLE ‘ IMPROVED MODEL’ underneath this it states THE BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS Co ltd. ENGLAND. Underneath this it states SOLE MANUFACTURERS.

On the barrel it is marked ARMY & NAVY C.S.L D LONDON. Just behind the backsight is stamped with the stacked rifles and bayonets symbols and the letters BSA. On the side of the loading catch it says patent 8246/06. At the base of the metalwork just above the trigger it states PAT. 30338-10 (serial nr model 1910) underneath this No S69890. Hardwood stock with checkered grip to either side. The butt is also grooved. The rifle is in very good condition. In working order and very powerfull. Unfortunately missing it’s foresight. Nice greyish age patina. A few dings around the loading catch lever on the body of the rifle and a few dings around the loading hole. Stamped here is says ‘load’. Underneath the barrel (obscured by the cocking lever when closed) is marked rd no 479972. Further down the barrel towards the breech is 215S. Underneath the cocking lever is stamped BSA patents 8761-04, 25783-10 rd 479972 (patents 1904 and 1910). Also 2 inspection stamps underneath the lever of the loading catch. Length of the gun is approx. 38 ¾ inches / 98 ½ cm.
